At the Oct. 20, 2023 meeting of the Rim of the World Unified School District board of trustees, several members of the Rim of the World Educational Foundation presented checks to three of the district’s schools. These Partnerships with Schools grants, said President Jo Bonita Rains, are intended to “enrich the learning experiences of our students – every grant must reflect that focus.
A check for $2,821.21 was presented to Principal Megan Dieli of Charles Hoffman Elementary; $8,825.36 to Principal Veronica McGilvery of Lake Arrowhead Elementary; and $3,348.00 to Principal Jennifer Whiteside and Assistant Principal Terry Gomes of Mary Putnam Henck Intermediate School.
